TD Place and Lansdowne: game day and event guide

Lansdowne is the easiest venue in Ottawa to get to without a car, and on Redblacks days, getting there without a car is pretty much the only option.

Updated October 2026 · How we make money

TD Place sits at Lansdowne in the Glebe, between Bank Street and the Rideau Canal. It has a stadium (football and soccer) and an arena (hockey and concerts), surrounded by restaurants, shops and the Aberdeen Pavilion.

Who plays here

Ottawa Redblacks (CFL)

The CFL season runs from June into the fall. Expect a party crowd, especially at Friday night home games.

Ottawa 67's (OHL)

Major-junior hockey in the arena through the fall and winter. One of the cheapest good nights out in the city.

Atlético Ottawa (CPL)

Canadian Premier League soccer in the stadium from spring to fall.

Concerts and events

Stadium shows in summer, arena concerts year-round, plus festivals on the grounds.

Lansdowne is also home to the Ottawa BlackJacks (CEBL basketball) and Ottawa Rapid FC (women's pro soccer).

About resale tickets: StubHub is a resale marketplace, so prices move with demand and can sit above or below face value. For a low-demand game, compare with the team's own box office before you buy. For sold-out games and big concerts, resale is often the only way in.

Free transit with your ticket

A ticket to a TD Place game or event gets you free rides on all OC Transpo buses and the O-Train, from three hours before the event to three hours after it. Show your mobile ticket to the bus driver. At O-Train fare gates, use the video chat on the ticket machine and an agent will issue you a pass.

Routes 6 and 7 stop right at TD Place. On Redblacks game days only, extra 450-series shuttle buses run too.

Parking

On Redblacks game days there's no public parking at Lansdowne: the underground garage is open only to pre-authorized pass holders. Take transit, a shuttle or a bike (there's a free bike valet on game days), or park downtown and walk about 35–40 minutes. Street parking in the Glebe is tightly time-limited and enforced.

On other event days the underground garage is open, with event pricing. There are no in-and-out privileges.

Timing

Arrive 60 to 90 minutes early, especially for Redblacks games and stadium concerts, when security lines build up.

Food and drink

Lansdowne itself is lined with restaurants and patios, and Bank Street through the Glebe has dozens more within a 10-minute walk. Book ahead for dinner before a Redblacks game.

Lansdowne is changing

The city approved the Lansdowne 2.0 redevelopment in late 2025, which will replace the arena with a smaller event centre. The Charge left for Canadian Tire Centre as a result. Expect some construction disruption over the next few years, and check which building your event is in.

Christmas at Lansdowne

From late November, Aberdeen Square hosts the Ottawa Christmas Market. See our Christmas market guide. Note that free transit with a ticket doesn't apply to the market.
