Canadian Tire Centre is at 1000 Palladium Drive in Kanata, right beside Highway 417. It's home to the NHL's Ottawa Senators and, from the 2026-27 season, the PWHL's Ottawa Charge, and it's where the biggest touring concerts play in Ottawa.
Tickets
Ottawa Senators
The NHL season runs October to April. Weeknight games against non-rival teams are the cheapest way in; Saturday games and visits from Toronto and Montreal cost the most.
Ottawa Charge (PWHL)
The Charge moved to Canadian Tire Centre full-time for 2026-27 after drawing crowds of up to 17,000 there in 2026. Tickets are usually far cheaper than an NHL game.
Concerts and shows
The arena hosts the biggest tours that come through Ottawa, plus family shows and comedy.
About resale tickets: StubHub is a resale marketplace, so prices move with demand and can sit above or below face value. For a low-demand game, compare with the team's own box office before you buy. For sold-out games and big concerts, resale is often the only way in.
Getting there
By bus
On game nights OC Transpo runs its 400-series event buses from stations and park-and-rides around the city straight to the arena. After the game, follow the crowd to the bus loop and board the same route you came in on. Regular routes also serve the arena. Check OC Transpo's trip planner on the day, since event service changes from season to season.
By car
Take the 417 west and exit at Palladium Drive. The drive from downtown is about 20 minutes with no traffic, but leave plenty of extra time: traffic backs up before puck drop and after the final horn. Many locals either leave a few minutes early or wait out the rush in the concourse.
Rideshare
Uber and Lyft pick-ups use a designated zone in the lots rather than the front doors, so expect a short walk and a surge in prices right after the event.
Parking
There are nine lots around the building. General lots are the cheapest, and the lots closest to the doors cost more and have limited spaces. Prices differ between hockey games and concerts. Buy parking ahead online where it's offered; it's faster than paying at the gate. Accessible parking is in Lot 3 with a valid permit.
The arena's own parking page lists current lot prices and post-game exit routes, so check it before you go.
Where to eat before the game
Kanata is suburban, so there's no bar district at the arena's door. The closest options are a short drive away, around Kanata Centrum and the Tanger Outlets: chain grills, pubs and a few independents. If you're coming by bus, eat downtown or in Westboro first and ride out.
Inside, the arena added new 200-level seating, a restaurant and a 300-level fan zone for 2026-27.
What you can't bring
No outside food or drink, bottles, cans, coolers, noisemakers, laser pointers or professional cameras. Bags are subject to the arena's current bag policy, so travel light.
Staying overnight?
Coming in from out of town for a game or concert? Several hotels in Kanata are a short walk or a five-minute drive from the arena. See hotels near Canadian Tire Centre, or stay downtown and take the bus.
Is the Senators' new arena open yet?
No. The Senators bought land at LeBreton Flats for a downtown arena in 2025, but the site needs major soil cleanup before construction, and the team says completion is several years away. For now, every Senators and Charge home game is at Canadian Tire Centre.
