Eagle's Nest lookout hike
Eagle's Nest is a cliff about 120 m above the forest, with views over the Madawaska Valley. Choose your route:
- Short route: about 1.5 km each way along an old logging road from the Eagle's Nest parking lot off Calabogie Road (County Road 508). Allow about 20 minutes up.
- From the resort: about 8 km return from Calabogie Peaks, taking 2.5–3 hours, uphill at first.
- Manitou Mountain Trail: about 9 km, passing three other lookouts before Eagle's Nest. Leave a car at each end.
Eagle's Nest is an Algonquin heritage site. Treat it with respect, and stay back from the cliff edge.
